Kivvit is looking for a few great interns who want to join a dynamic team and get hands-on experience in public affairs. If you’re a politico, policy wonk, news hound, or campaign junkie, you’ve found the right firm.
We invite you to apply to our innovative paid trainee program. Trainees contribute substantively to our team’s day-to-day work, applying their creativity and enthusiasm in a fast-paced and professional environment.
Who We Are
Kivvit is a full-service public affairs firm with offices in New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Miami and Washington DC. Our work has helped win elections, shape public policy, and aid in the construction of billions of dollars in critical infrastructure. Kivvit is a new identity formed from the merger of M Public Affairs and ASGK Public Strategies, the public affairs firm founded by former White House advisor David Axelrod. Our firm’s national reach helps our clients succeed.
Our hard-charging team comes from a variety of backgrounds, from campaign experts to former journalists and policy specialists. We are dedicated and passionate about what we do.
What We Do
We design and implement multi-faceted campaigns that function in a number of arenas including press strategy, public education, digital advocacy, and business development. Our campaigns are creatively designed and meticulously executed.
The Kivvit trainee will routinely assist with the firm’s core work areas: in-depth research, public affairs campaign management, media and public relations, strategic consulting, tactical messaging, corporate positioning, grassroots advocacy, digital campaigning, and issue advocacy.
Daily responsibilities will include researching, preparing reports, assisting staff on client requests, and helping on a variety of office responsibilities. Interns will work directly with senior staff to meet client needs. We invest in our interns and offer a professional mentorship program to help maximize the Kivvit trainee experience. Currently, we are especially on the lookout for trainees with an interest in/aptitude for digital advocacy techniques, including online marketing and media production.
Kivvit trainees will be paid a competitive monthly stipend. Kivvit hires both full- and part-time interns. We require a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week. The trainee program runs between three to four months with the possibility to extend. Positions are available in our New York City or Asbury Park, NJ Offices.
