SM+K is seeking a Digital Manager to serve as the account manager and lead strategist overseeing strategy development, timelines, reporting and budgets for clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies and global brands to the country’s top universities, non-profits, causes and foundations.

  • You are an organized project manager with the ability to quickly prioritize a dynamic and changing task list and are adept at managing vertically and horizontally to achieve organizational and campaign-level objectives.
  • You are a strategic thinker with vast knowledge of digital marketing and advocacy technology landscape to lead and drive the strategy, development, and execution of all digital marketing plans and emerging media initiatives based on client requirements.
  • Possess strategic vision and in-depth knowledge of digital and social media advertising, audience segmentation, campaign management, and trends in online advocacy to strengthen Subject Matter + Kivvit’s growing digital practice and further our clients’ goals — whether they’re in public affairs, policy, labor, nonprofit or corporate branding initiatives.
  • Possess the drive and results-oriented mindset to support our team, growth strategy, and campaign objectives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented and highly dynamic environment.

what you’ll do

  • Build strategic digital campaigns that are innovative, sophisticated, measurable, and actionable.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across offices in proposal development and client plan development and execution.
  • Deliver innovative, creative work to clients by developing strategies to:
  • Move our targets and advance our client outcomes and goals;
  • Use current tactics in audience segmentation,
  • Incorporate data analysis to drive online advertising strategies; and
  • Drive audience engagement across social media, online, digital, video, email, web, and mobile platforms.
  • Provide outstanding digital service for our clients – managing intricate campaigns for existing digital clients and educating non-digital clients on the benefits of digital programing
  • Serve as a leader and advocate for digital strategy by providing hands on training for junior staff and regular education for senior public affairs staff.

your experience

As a qualified candidate, you have experience in all areas below:

  • Five or more years of relevant digital outreach and marketing experience in an agency, campaign, private-sector, and/or consumer brand setting.
  • Proficiency developing and managing integrated digital marketing campaigns using research, segmentation and modeling for a variety of clients, including management of media plans and day-to-day relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Fluency within key advertising platforms such as but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, AdWords, YouTube, Twitter, and LinkedIn and comfort navigating CRMs.
  • Tactical understanding of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, UTM Codes and the relationship between digital advertising and website analytics.
  • Strong proficiency with industry-specific systems and tools, including — but not limited to — Google Ads, WordPress, Salesforce, HubSpot, Sketch, Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn Ads, Adobe Creative Cloud, Asana, Microsoft Office product suite, Spark Influence, etc.
  • Expert ability with paid search, display, retargeting, buying, marketing automation, e-commerce, landing pages, conversion, programmatic media optimization, and delivery of exceptional performance-oriented digital campaigns.
  • Experience translating highly technical information into presentable and digestible formats that educate and enlighten non-technical internal and external stakeholders via datastudio, hubspot, or other metrics reporting platform.
  • Development of short and long-term digital advertising campaigns, execution and leverage of data and analytics to optimize and improve results.

As an exceptional candidate, you possess many of the following attributes:

  • Deep knowledge of campaign metrics and analytics to inform campaign strategies and the ability to relay that information in a simple and effective manner.
